Legal Notice - Intellectual Property & Copyright Protection

Last Updated: December 26, 2025

Content Ownership & Copyright

All content appearing on casiolondon.com, including text, graphics, logos, product descriptions, marketing materials, and website design are the exclusive property of Casio London or have been properly licensed for commercial use.

Product Photography & Visual Content:

Our product images are created using AI image generation technology and are owned by Casio London. Under current United States copyright law, AI-generated images cannot be copyrighted by any party - including us and including our competitors. This means:

  • No one can claim copyright ownership over AI-generated product images - they exist in the public domain
  • Our AI images do not and cannot infringe on third-party copyrighted photography - we did not copy anyone's copyrighted photos
  • We have full commercial rights to use AI-generated images for our products - they were created specifically for StrideSupport™ marketing

Legal Basis:
The U.S. Copyright Office (January 2025, Part 2: Copyrightability Report) confirms that AI-generated outputs lack the human authorship required for copyright protection. Courts have consistently upheld this principle (Thaler v. Perlmutter, 2023; Zarya of the Dawn decision, 2023).

All non-AI content on this website, including our written descriptions, branding elements, and marketing copy, are original works created by Casio London and are protected by copyright law.

Product Legitimacy

StrideSupport™ is a brand name owned by Casio London.

Plantar fasciitis compression sleeves, foot compression sleeves, and arch support sleeves are non-proprietary medical devices. These products are not subject to design patents or exclusive manufacturing rights by any single company.

No company holds a monopoly on:

  • Compression foot sleeve design or construction
  • The sale or marketing of plantar fasciitis relief products
  • Medical-grade compression garment technology
  • Compression sleeve features, materials, or functionality

We have full legal authority to manufacture, market, and sell compression foot sleeves under our StrideSupport™ brand name. These are standard medical compression devices available from multiple manufacturers worldwide.

False DMCA & Copyright Claims

Casio London respects legitimate intellectual property rights. We also vigorously defend against bad-faith copyright claims, competitive interference, and frivolous takedown notices.

Any individual or entity who knowingly submits a false DMCA takedown notice or fraudulent copyright claim against Casio London will face serious legal consequences:

Legal Remedies We Will Pursue:

1. Counter-Notification Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)
We will immediately file formal DMCA counter-notices disputing any false claims, triggering the statutory 10-14 day restoration period.

2. Damages Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f)
Federal law provides for recovery of:

  • Actual damages caused by the false claim
  • Attorney's fees and legal costs
  • Court costs and expenses
  • Lost revenue and business interruption damages

Anyone who "knowingly materially misrepresents" that material is infringing faces significant financial liability.

3. Tortious Interference with Business Relations
False copyright claims that damage our business operations, revenue, or reputation may result in civil litigation for damages.

4. Perjury Consequences
DMCA notices require statements made under penalty of perjury. Knowingly false statements in copyright claims may result in criminal prosecution under federal law.

Documentation We Maintain:

We maintain comprehensive records including:

  • AI image generation logs and timestamps
  • Product development timelines
  • Original content creation documentation
  • Platform communications and correspondence
  • Legal consultation records

These records will be used to defend against and pursue legal action related to any false intellectual property claims.

What Constitutes a False Claim

A DMCA or copyright claim against Casio London is false and actionable if it alleges:

✗ That we are using copyrighted product photography belonging to another company - we use AI-generated images
✗ That compression foot sleeves are proprietary designs owned exclusively by one company - they are generic medical devices
✗ That our brand name or product descriptions infringe on another company's trademarks - StrideSupport™ is our brand
✗ That similar-looking compression sleeves constitute copyright infringement - product appearance is not copyrightable

Legitimate Intellectual Property Concerns

We take genuine intellectual property concerns seriously. If you believe content on our website infringes your copyright:

Before filing any formal complaint:

  1. Verify you own the specific content - Not just a similar product, but the actual copyrighted material you claim we're using
  2. Identify the exact infringing material - Provide specific URLs and detailed descriptions
  3. Contact us directly first - Email: casiolndn@gmail.com

We respond to legitimate concerns within 48 hours and will immediately remove any genuinely infringing content.

However, complaints based on:

  • Selling similar compression sleeves
  • Using AI-generated product images
  • Marketing similar medical devices
  • Operating in the same product category

...are not valid copyright claims and will be treated as bad-faith attempts to interfere with our business.

Consequences for Bad-Faith Claims

For false or retracted claims, we reserve the right to pursue:

  • Full legal remedies available under U.S. and Canadian law
  • Recovery of lost revenue and business damages
  • Legal fees and costs (including attorney's fees)
  • Compensation for reputational harm
  • Injunctive relief preventing future false claims
  • Declaratory judgment establishing our right to operate

We do not settle frivolous claims. We defend our business rights through litigation when necessary.

Jurisdiction & Governing Law

All disputes arising from copyright claims or intellectual property issues will be governed by the laws of the United States and Canada. By submitting any claim, notice, or complaint to Casio London, you consent to jurisdiction in U.S. federal courts for resolution of any disputes arising from such claims.
